Job description
Anivas Tech is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to support our government agency IT operations. We are looking for a skilled professional with 5+ years of relevant experience who brings strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a mission-driven, high-visibility environment. Requirements:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for web, API, and backend systems
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and business analysis teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and regression suites to validate functional and non-functional requirements
- Perform performance, load, and security testing as part of the overall quality assurance strategy
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution using standard defect management tools
- Support shift-left testing practices by embedding quality activities early in the software development lifecycle
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and communicate quality metrics and risks to project stakeholders
- Maintain test environments and test data management practices to support repeatable automated test execution
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to test tooling, methodologies, and coverage
- Contribute to documentation of test strategies, automation architecture, and quality standards
- US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Requirements
Do you have experience in Test Planning (Quality assurance practices)?, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; 5 additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation
- Proficiency in at least one automation framework (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, or equivalent)
- Experience with at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#)
- Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in identifying and reporting defects
- Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum delivery teams
- Experience in a federal government IT environment
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, or equivalent)
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
- Agile, SAFe, or BDD/TDD methodology experience
- Familiarity with accessibility testing standards (Section 508, WCAG)
