Job description

Join our innovative technology company as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to enhance and refine our Spanish-language platform designed for entrepreneurs. This role involves taking over an existing codebase, improving its functionality, and guiding its ongoing technical development. You will play a crucial role in launching and maintaining a stable and reliable platform., * Analyze and comprehend the existing frontend, backend, database, and cloud architecture.

  • Assume full-stack development responsibilities, ensuring seamless integration and enhancement of the platform.
  • Identify and rectify bugs, incomplete functionalities, and technical risks.
  • Develop and enhance product features in alignment with business priorities.
  • Work proficiently across the React frontend and TypeScript/Node.js backend.
  • Maintain and improve AWS-based services and infrastructure.
  • Manage relational and NoSQL databases efficiently.
  • Support and integrate third-party services such as authentication, payments, analytics, and messaging.
  • Contribute to the development of AI-powered product functionalities.
  • Enhance the platform’s reliability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Communicate technical issues and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Document significant technical decisions, risks, and forthcoming steps.

Requirements

  • Proficient in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and REST APIs for full-stack development.
  • Experienced in AWS application development, including AWS Lambda and cloud-based deployments.
  • Skilled in SQL and database development, particularly with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
  • Proven experience in taking ownership of an existing codebase, identifying technical debt, and making safe changes.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders and prioritize high-impact work.
  • Professional Spanish fluency and residence in Latin America, with the ability to work within Latin American time zones., * Experience with NestJS or other structured Node.js frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AWS services like Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, and infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CDK or Terraform.
  • Knowledge of AI platforms, Stripe subscriptions, and authentication platforms like Auth0.
  • Understanding of product analytics tools, messaging integrations, and UI frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and supporting startup product launches.
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot.
