Job description
The contractor shall provide expert technical support in several key areas, including the review and deployment of vendor security patches to ensure that all systems remain secure and up to date. The contractor shall also offer knowledge and support for storage technologies such as Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS), enabling efficient data management and retrieval., + The contractor shall utilize server performance tuning and monitoring tools to optimize server performance and address any issues proactively.

The contractor shall be proficient in configuring and managing servers using tools like Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), ensuring proper system operation.

With strong network troubleshooting skills, the contractor shall identify and resolve network issues effectively to maintain seamless network performance.

The contractor shall provide clear and accurate technical documentation to record configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and system management practices, ensuring all processes are well-documented for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.

The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining and operating a computer system and/or network.
Requirements

DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant certification
-
Proficiency with SAN/NAS, Microsoft SCOM/SCCM, and technical documentation
-
4+ years’ experience in service IT Networking MOS
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Current passport and be willing to travel and work OCONUS
Education Requirements:
-
High school diploma or equivalent, + Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods.
-
Occasional standing while working in server rooms or at patch panels.
-
Must be able to lift and move moderately heavy equipment (e.g., routers, switches, servers) typically up to 30-50 pounds.
-
Manual Dexterity required for connecting cables, configuring devices, and handling small tools or components.

Must be able to view computer screens for long periods.
-
Ability to distinguish color-coded cabling and indicator lights.
-
Must be able to climb ladders or crawl in tight spaces for cable runs or equipment installation.

May require walking between different buildings or workstations.

Must be able to communicate clearly with technical teams and end-users.

May need to hear alarms, server beeps, or equipment noises indicating issues
