Job description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Architect to lead the design, development, optimisation, and governance of our Salesforce platform. This role combines strategic architecture ownership with hands-on development responsibilities, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support EOS’ sales, finance, operations, and support functions. You will be responsible for defining the Salesforce roadmap, establishing technical standards and best practices, and delivering innovative solutions that enable business growth. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide architectural leadership while remaining actively involved in solution development and implementation.

  • Own the overall Salesforce architecture, platform strategy, and technical roadmap.
  • Design scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, integrations, automation, and custom applications.
  • Lead all technical aspects of Salesforce, including platform configuration, custom development, integrations, security, governance, and data architecture.
  • Act as the primary technical authority for Salesforce-related projects and initiatives.
  • Design and oversee integrations with internal systems, third-party platforms, middleware solutions, and AppExchange products.
  • Provide hands-on development using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, Java, and related technologies where required.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for architecture, development, testing, deployment, release management, and platform security.
  • Drive optimisation of business processes through Salesforce capabilities and automation.
  • Lead data migration initiatives, data quality improvements, and master data management strategies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Review solution designs and code to ensure adherence to architectural standards and platform best practices.
  • Mentor and coach Salesforce Developers and Administrators, fostering technical excellence across the team.
  • Evaluate emerging Salesforce technologies and recommend opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Support a rapidly growing organisation by ensuring the Salesforce platform remains scalable, resilient, and aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise Salesforce solutions.
  • Salesforce Architect certification(s) or a strong pathway towards Architect-level accreditation.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, platform capabilities, APIs, governor limits, and best practices.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce automation tools.
  • Experience designing complex system integrations using REST, SOAP, platform events, middleware, and other enterprise integration technologies.
  • Expertise in Salesforce data architecture, data modelling, governance, migration, and quality management.
  • Experience delivering scalable solutions across multiple Salesforce clouds and business functions.
  • Strong understanding of security architecture, role hierarchies, profiles, permission sets, and compliance considerations.
  • Experience leading technical design sessions and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Practical experience with DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, version control, testing strategies, and deployment frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and enterprise application architecture.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex Salesforce transformation or integration projects.

Desirable

  • Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, or Certified Technical Architect (CTA) credentials.
  • Experience working with MuleSoft or other enterprise integration platforms.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale Salesforce organisations supporting global operations.
  • Development experience in Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience with analytics, reporting, and data visualisation solutions.

Personal Attributes

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence technical direction and business outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for learning and innovation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
