  • Schedule and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance with internal teams and external vendors to minimize downtime and maintain reliability.
  • Implement and oversee energy-efficiency programs and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce consumption and lower operating costs while maintaining SLAs.
  • Collect, analyze, and report energy and electrical performance data using building management systems (BMS), SCADA, and energy monitoring tools; produce regular capacity and trend reports for stakeholders.
  • Support capacity planning and change management for power-related upgrades, equipment installations, and load migrations to ensure proper sizing and redundancy.
  • Conduct regular inspections, safety checks, and testing of electrical systems; ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes (e.g., NFPA 70E, local electrical codes, ISO standards).
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, electrical single-line diagrams, standard operating procedures, and maintenance records.
  • Provide training, guidance, and regular drills for on-site staff on power system operations, safe work practices, and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (facilities, operations, engineering, sustainability, and vendors) to align energy strategy with business and mission-critical requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Energy Management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data center or mission-critical facilities managing electrical or power systems; experience as an Energy Marshal or similar role is highly desirable.
  • Practical knowledge of UPS systems, generators, switchgear, PDUs, transfer switches, and electrical distribution principles.
  • Experience with energy monitoring, BMS/SCADA systems, and data analysis tools for reporting and capacity planning.
