Sr. Systems Administrator

Experience specifically as a senior system admin with Linux, in particular Debian-based distributions of Linux (Debian, Ubuntu)

Must be able to code / script in at least two languages - one shell language (BASH or CSH or ZSH or other) and one “scripting language”, Python preferred.

Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking / firewalls / security

Basic to intermediate knowledge of computer hardware (servers)

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with ansible, chef, or other automation tools preferred.

Ability to build automation infrastructure partially from scratch that can help build virtual machines, real HW, network/ SDN (Social Defined Network) elements.

Basic networking knowledge and skills (IP networking, firewalls, wireless)

Experience with Cloud computing AWS, Kubernetes and/or Google cloud. (Kubernetes is a big plus)

Has experience with APT, Yum, RPM, or similar package management tools, installations, usage

Experience with automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform is a plus

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
