Job description

Happy Vitals is seeking a dependable Per Diem IT Field Technician to provide onsite technical support for our Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) equipment at skilled nursing facilities throughout Southern California and the Central Valley.

This position is ideal for an IT professional, field service technician, or biomedical equipment technician looking for a flexible opportunity to supplement their income while working with healthcare technology. Work is assigned based on service needs, with consistent opportunities available as our organization continues to grow.

You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting tablets, Bluetooth-connected medical devices, charging systems, and mobile equipment used by clinical teams to deliver patient care., * Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) equipment.

  • Diagnose and repair tablet charging, power, and connectivity issues.
  • Pair Android tablets with Bluetooth-enabled medical devices.
  • Replace defective power strips, charging components, and other electrical accessories.
  • Repair or replace tablet mounts, holders, and hardware components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections.

Technical Support & Coordination

  • Coordinate with clinical and IT teams to ensure equipment remains fully operational.
  • Document repairs, maintenance performed, and equipment status.
  • Escalate complex technical issues when necessary.
  • Help maintain inventory accuracy and equipment readiness.

Requirements

  • A hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting hardware.
  • Comfortable traveling between healthcare facilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
  • Reliable, responsive, and committed to delivering excellent service., * 2+ years of experience in IT support, field service, hardware repair, or similar technical roles.
  • Experience troubleshooting tablets (Android preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Bluetooth connectivity and device pairing.
  • Experience performing minor hardware repairs.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and replacing mounting hardware and electrical components.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to skilled nursing facilities throughout Southern California and the Central Valley.
  • Experience supporting medical devices or healthcare technology is preferred but not required., At Happy Vitals, we help improve patient outcomes through innovative Remote Patient Monitoring technology.
