QA Engineer - Backend

Drive the quality and stability of backend applications and APIs. Lead complex testing activities, mentor junior team members, and proactively identify areas for improvement to ensure seamless system integration and high performance. How You’ll Drive Success Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for backend applications and APIs Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis using logs and other data sources Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and ensure testability Document and communicate defects, enhancements, and technical insights Conduct integration testing with third-party exchanges and brokers, ensuring robust system interoperability Mentor, support, and provide feedback to junior QA team members Champion best practices in backend QA and testing automation

5+ years of hands-on QA experience, primarily focused on backend applications and API testing Extensive experience in designing and executing test plans for complex systems Strong proficiency in HTTP API testing, including RESTful and/or WebSocket APIs Solid knowledge of Linux environments and advanced command-line operations In-depth understanding of protocols like HTTP, WebSockets, and related security considerations Ability to analyze logs and determine the root cause of issues Expertise with Jira and Confluence for process and documentation management Advanced experience with curl, Postman, and similar tools for API testing Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks Nice to Have Proficiency in Python for test automation Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related QA automation tools Knowledge of financial markets or trading platforms Prior experience mentoring and training QA team members It’ll also be an advantage if you have experience in: Finance experience or knowledge of Trading Knowledge of TradingView We also love users who become teammates!
