Job description

As an SAP Build Developer, you will design, develop, configure, and maintain digital solutions using SAP Build Work Zone, SAP Build Apps, and SAP Build Process Automation on SAP BTP. This role combines modern low-code/no-code development with strong pro-code capabilities in SAP Fiori/UI5, CAP, Node.js, and OData to deliver scalable, user-focused solutions. The role partners with IT and business stakeholders to modernize processes, improve usability, and deliver high-quality applications that drive productivity and measurable business value. This position spans design, development, testing, and support to create digital experiences that enhance operational efficiency across the organization.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with business stakeholders and functional teams to gather requirements, define use cases, and design intuitive digital solutions.
  • Develop and configure applications in SAP Build Apps, including screens, data models, business logic, and integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Design, develop, and consume OData services using CDS views and gateway provisioning to expose business data and logic for SAP Build and Fiori applications.
  • Build and support digital workplace experiences in SAP Build Work Zone, including site configuration, content organization, and application integration.
  • Execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing support to ensure solutions meet functional, performance, and usability requirements.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance across SAP Build, Work Zone, and Fiori solutions using established UX, security, and performance best practices.
  • Document solution architecture, configurations, technical designs, and support procedures to improve maintainability and compliance.
  • Support deployment planning, release activities, estimation, and architectural decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing applications on SAP BTP, including experience with CAP (Node.js/JavaScript), SAP Build Work Zone, SAP Build Apps, and SAP Build Process Automation.
  • Experience developing and integrating SAP Fiori/UI5 applications in enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience integrating SAP Build and Work Zone solutions with OData services and SAP backend systems through SAP BTP connectivity.
  • Working knowledge of solution design, testing, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and technical documentation for SAP applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with business users and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • SAP Build or SAP Fiori/UI5 certifications are a plus.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, user-centric digital solutions with a continuous-improvement mindset.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar required
