Job description

We are seeking an experienced Technology Support Technician III to provide onsite technical support for school-based technology environments. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, AV equipment, and classroom technology while delivering exceptional customer service to staff and administrators. The ideal candidate will have strong desktop support experience, Microsoft Windows expertise, and knowledge of LAN/WAN environments., * Provide onsite Level 1 technical support for computers, laptops, printers, Chromebooks, AV equipment, and peripheral devices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, Windows OS, and network connectivity issues.
  • Support Microsoft Windows environments, Active Directory user administration, and basic LAN/WAN networking.
  • Respond to and manage support requests using the district’’s ticketing system.
  • Configure, install, repair, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and classroom technology.
  • Diagnose network connectivity issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.
  • Maintain technology inventory and documentation.
  • Assist with technology deployments, upgrades, and school technology initiatives.
  • Provide end-user training and technical guidance to school staff.
  • Support online testing by preparing, configuring, and maintaining testing devices.
  • Move and set up computer labs as required for testing and instructional purposes.
  • Collaborate with school administrators and technology teams on technology planning and implementation.
  • Participate in technology projects, training sessions, and district-wide initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with district technology standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Georgia Driver’’s License.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, LAN/WAN networks, desktop/laptop/server hardware, and related technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with desktop hardware, software, printers, and peripherals.
  • Experience with Active Directory user administration.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and ticket management experience.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

OR

  • Bachelor’’s degree in a related field with 1+ year of relevant experience.

OR

  • CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications with 2+ years of relevant experience., * Bachelor’’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Microsoft, CompTIA, or other desktop support certifications.
