Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive software engineer with a focus on DevOps to join our team. This role will report directly to the Principal Software Engineer and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our DevOps infrastructure for our proprietary radiology workflow system, StatPACS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud infrastructure management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the stability, efficiency, and scalability of our healthcare technology platform., * Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of new features and updates.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS) and on-premises servers, ensuring security and compliance with industry standards.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve the DevOps processes.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, providing support to the development team as needed.
  • Document processes, procedures, and system configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned., * Corporate office in San Diego. Optional Hybrid Model, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with manager approval.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of DevOps practices and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of building C# projects, MSBuild, NuGet and MSTest.
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry technologies and standards (e.g., HL7, DICOM, PACS/RIS systems) is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree.
  • 3-8 years’ related work experience.

It reflects the range that StatRad reasonably expects to pay for this position at various levels of experience. The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s relevant experience, unique skills and abilities, education, market demand, and employer business practices, and will be discussed at the offer stage with the selected candidate. Starting Hourly Pay is $50.48-$64.90 per hour for the ideal candidate.
