Job description

A highly technical, hands-on engineer to join a critical engineering organization supporting enterprise infrastructure and platform modernization initiatives. This role involves solving complex technical problems, automating infrastructure, and improving development efficiency through modern DevOps practices and AI-enabled tooling., * Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting enterprise applications.

  • Develop automation solutions using Python.
  • Improve software delivery through DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering best practices.
  • Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives.
  • Assist with AWS cloud infrastructure deployments and automation.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to improve deployment reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize AI-powered developer tools (such as Claude) to improve engineering productivity and software development workflows.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, application deployment, networking, and automation issues.
  • Support containerized applications running within Kubernetes/EKS environments.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate manual operational processes.

Requirements

  • This is not a leadership or management role.
  • The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and solving complex technical problems.
  • The manager specifically wants engineers already incorporating AI into their daily development process-not someone simply familiar with AI concepts.

Required Skills: DevOps / SRE:

  • Strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience
  • DevOps engineering background
  • CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance

Programming:

  • Python (primary development language)

CI/CD Tools:

  • Experience with one or more: Jenkins, Maven, Git, CI/CD automation platforms

Cloud:

  • AWS
  • Cloud infrastructure fundamentals
  • Infrastructure automation

Infrastructure:

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Server administration concepts
  • Linux fundamentals
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Deployment automation

AI Tools:

  • Hands-on experience using AI development tools such as Claude
  • AI-assisted software development
  • AI productivity tools
  • Prompt engineering for software engineering workflows
