Job description

As the recognized global standard for project-based businesses, Deltek delivers software and information solutions to help organizations achieve their purpose. Our market leadership stems from the work of our diverse employees who are united by a passion for learning, growing and making a difference. At Deltek, we take immense pride in creating a balanced, values-driven environment, where every employee feels included and empowered to do their best work. Our employees put our core values into action daily, creating a one-of-a-kind culture that has been recognized globally. Thanks to our incredible team, Deltek has been named one of America’s Best Midsize Employers by Forbes, a Best Place to Work by Glassdoor, a Top Workplace by The Washington Post and a Best Place to Work in Asia by World HRD Congress. ;br> Position Responsibilities

Join us to redefine how work gets done in an AI-First enterprise! We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes AI tools, can spin up a working prototype before the meeting is over, and genuinely enjoys sitting with a business team to figure out where AI fits in their world.

This is an early-career role, and it’s intentionally designed that way. We want someone who is AI-native: you’ve been building with these tools since they appeared, you think in workflows and automation, and you get excited about showing people what’s possible. Reporting to the Director of AI Business Transformation within the AI Center of Excellence, you’ll be working across every business unit at Deltek to rethink end-to-end processes and quickly build solutions that prove AI’s value through better ways of working.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and show, don’t just tell. Partner with business units to map their current processes and rapidly prototype AI-enabled versions, using tools like Claude, Power Automate, n8n, and other enterprise AI platforms

  • Support our AI Champions. Serve as a partner for our AI Champions network across business functions by helping them experiment, get unstuck, and build confidence with AI tools

  • Bridge thinking and doing. Translate process conversations into working workflow prototypes that senior transformation leads can validate and scale with business stakeholders

  • Build our knowledge base. Capture and share what’s working. Document use cases, build how-to guides, and contribute to our growing library of AI-enabled process patterns

  • Make AI real for people. Contribute to COE-wide AI fluency by demoing tools, running hands-on sessions, and being the person who makes AI feel accessible

What Success Looks Like

  • Business units have working prototypes they can react to - not just slide decks describing what AI could do

  • Business units and the AI COE are moving faster to deliver use cases and redesigned processes because you’ve accelerated the discovery and build cycle

  • Measurable value outcomes are tied to each AI use case and business process
  • Employees across Deltek are more confident using AI in their daily work because of enablement you designed and delivered.
  • You’re known as the person who figures it out quickly and shows others how

What You’ll Grow Into

As you build credibility across business units and deepen your understanding of enterprise transformation, this role grows with you. The path forward includes taking greater ownership of use case development, leading AI Champions engagements independently, and eventually contributing to transformation strategy alongside senior leads. We’re building the COE and you’ll help shape what it becomes.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate (0-2 years of experience) with demonstrated, hands-on experience building with AI tools

  • Fluent with enterprise AI platforms: Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, or comparable tools. You use these daily, not occasionally

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and concepts quickly - you pick things up fast, apply them immediately, and don’t need hand-holding to get up to speed

  • Ability to learn and map business processes quickly and identify where AI creates real value, not just where it’s technically possible

  • Strong communicator who can explain AI concepts and demo tools to non-technical business audiences without making it feel like a lecture

  • Self-directed and resourceful - you’re comfortable figuring things out in ambiguous situations

  • Collaborative and curious: you thrive in conversations, ask good questions, and genuinely like working with people

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building with no-code/low-code automation platforms (Power Automate, Make, Zapier, n8n, or similar)

  • Comfort with prompt engineering, AI agent design, or workflow automation beyond basic chat interfaces

  • Exposure to business process mapping, Lean thinking, or operations work

  • Background in business, information systems, organizational behavior, or a technical field

  • Experience working across multiple business functions or in a consulting/advisory capacity (internships count)

Benefits & conditions

For this role, the expected annual base salary range is USD 0.00-USD 0.00, depending on skills, experience, and location. Final compensation will be determined in a manner consistent with applicable local laws and internal compensation practices. In addition, employees in this role are eligible to participate in one of the company’s bonus programs, based on the guidelines or compensation plan for their specific role, job, or title.
