Job description

As a Software Engineer II on the Data Intelligence team, you will design, develop, and maintain AI-driven network and security intelligence solutions. Partnering with senior engineers and data scientists, you will help apply machine learning models for applications such as anomaly detection and classification and contribute to Generative AI solutions built on Azure OpenAI and the M365 platform. You will build and operate data engineering pipelines using technologies like Spark, Synapse/ADF, Azure Data Explorer (Kusto), and Fabric. This role is an excellent opportunity to deepen your technical skills and grow your ability to deliver end-to-end solutions., * Develop and maintain features for AI-driven network and security intelligence solutions.

  • Contribute to building and enhancing machine learning models and Generative AI agents with guidance from senior team members.
  • Build and support data engineering pipelines using technologies such as Spark, Synapse/ADF, Azure Data Explorer (Kusto), and Fabric.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers and data scientists, to integrate AI/ML solutions into Microsoft’s network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot live-site issues and participate in the DRI (Designated Responsible Individual) rotation.
  • Help ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of AI, ML, and data solutions.
  • Write clean, testable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
  • Apply security, privacy, and compliance best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Stay current with advancements in AI, ML, and data engineering technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience., * 1+ years experience building data solutions, including databases (SQL/No-SQL) and ETL / data pipelines using cloud services, OR equivalent experience
  • Experience with the Azure Big Data stack (Data Lake, Spark, Hadoop) and distributed processing such as Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory (or Synapse), or equivalent.
  • Experience with Azure, REST APIs, and Web Apps OR equivalent.
  • Experience building and/or applying machine learning solutions.
  • Familiarity with LLMs, SLMs, skills and agents
  • Familiarity with network engineering concepts.
