Job description
We are seeking a Principal Project Manager, IT to lead complex, enterprise-level IT initiatives within a high-performing PMO environment. This individual will operate at a principal level, driving large-scale programs and projects that span multiple business units while ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role requiring a strong balance of execution, stakeholder influence, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is capable of owning delivery from concept through implementation while mentoring others and elevating PMO standards., * Lead large, complex IT programs and multi-platform projects across business and technology teams
- Own end-to-end delivery including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and outcomes
- Drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives with enterprise-wide impact
- Serve as the primary decision-maker for day-to-day program/project execution
Planning & Strategy Alignment
- Develop detailed project plans, roadmaps, and resource strategies
- Align stakeholders on objectives, priorities, and success criteria
- Anticipate risks, dependencies, and potential conflicts across initiatives
- Ensure alignment between project delivery and broader business strategy
Execution & Delivery Excellence
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Manage risks, issues, and change requests proactively
- Provide clear, executive-level reporting on project health and progress
- Maintain adherence to PMO processes, governance, and methodologies
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership
- Influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners
Change Management & Continuous Improvement
- Support change management strategies and adoption plans
- Provide guidance on rollout and implementation approaches
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO practices and delivery frameworks
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in project, program, or portfolio management
- Proven experience leading large, complex, cross-functional IT initiatives
- Experience working within structured PMO environments
Certifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred
- Agile/Scrum certifications a plus
