Job description

  • Deliver large-scale cloud-native data platforms on AWS using REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures for highly scalable and resilient systems.
  • Work hands-on across the stack with Java, Python, Spark, TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, AWS services, event-driven architectures, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Lead product-wide technical initiatives for performance, scalability, reliability, security, governance, and cost efficiency.
  • Partner with global engineering, product management, architecture, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions to strategic objectives.
  • Own the end-to-end SDLC including requirements, design, development, deployment, observability, and documentation.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of software engineering experience with scalable UX-driven applications and distributed systems.
  • Proven experience with REST APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, and distributed systems design.
  • Background in Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Delta Lake, and modern big data ecosystem designs.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Python, Java, and Angular with object-oriented and functional programming.
  • Expertise in PySpark and Apache Spark for high-performance distributed data processing.
  • Depth in microservices development with Kubernetes containerization for eventing and serving.
  • Extensive AWS experience including S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
  • Experience with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka, SNS, and SQS, plus relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Aurora, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Hands-on IaC with Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong CI/CD and DevOps practices using Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, Bitbucket, GoCD, and automated pipelines.
  • Robust testing strategies including unit, integration, and regression testing with adherence to best practices.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills for diagnosing and solving complex technical problems.
  • Exposure to Generative AI, including LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic systems.
  • Nice to have: PySpark with Databricks, experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform, and building privacy-safe data platforms in CDP or MarTech environments.

Education Requirements:

  • B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Rate: $80.00 to $70.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
