Job description

We are seeking a driven and versatile Technical Operational Support Engineer to join our Blockchain Incubator Team. This is a high-impact role crafted for a professional who thrives in the space between operations and engineering. You will build a comprehensive support model from the ground up. You will also develop tools and documentation needed to maintain stability for our emerging Web3 applications., * Infrastructure Build-out: Develop and implement a support framework from scratch, including the creation of diagnostic tools and comprehensive user documentation.

  • Production Monitoring: Proactively supervise production systems for the Blockchain Incubator’s suite of applications (including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and other public blockchain solutions).
  • Incident Management: Serve as the first line of defense for off-hours incidents, employing software development knowledge to diagnose and think of ways to resolve issues.
  • Multi-functional Teamwork: Partner with the business teams to understand the ā€œwhyā€ behind use cases and work closely with the Core Development team to improve product serviceability and stability.

Work Distribution: This role is projected as a 50/50 split between active digital asset application support and the strategic building of support assets, with future opportunities to transition into digital asset engineering. This role requires on-call availability to support critical systems outside of standard business hours. Must have flexible availability to work on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

The ideal candidate possesses a strong operational demeanor and enough software development familiarity. They can start solving production incidents independently during off-hours to assist various core project teams. Are you ready to join a team that’s pushing innovation forward?, * Experience: 2-5 years in technical operations support or DevOps

  • Incident Management: Proficiency in the full production incident lifecycle (Detection -> Triage & Categorization -> Mitigation / Containment -> Resolution -> Root Cause Analysis)
  • Frameworks: Experience building and documenting technical ā€œrunbooksā€ and optimizing tracking tools like Jira or ServiceNow
  • Observability: Skill in crafting proactive dashboards using tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana

Technical Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnostics: Ability to parse complex logs (JSON, XML) and use Postman/cURL to isolate failures across front-end, back-end, and blockchain layers
  • Code Literacy: Familiarity with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Rust, or Java, and the ability to use Git/GitHub to review code changes
  • Attitude: An ā€œadversarialā€ approach-the ability to stress-test and break code to ensure it is resilient

Foundation & Soft Skills:

  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion: A genuine drive for application stability and the evolution of blockchain technology!

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications: AWS/Azure/GCP, CKA, or specialized Blockchain certifications.
  • Blockchain Infrastructure: Experience working with public chains (e.g. Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin) and understanding of node connectivity, private/public key management, and network solving.
  • Digital Assets: High-level knowledge of smart contract execution (e.g., Solidity), gas fees, and transaction monitoring.
