IT Software Engineer 4

The VL Autonomy Program is expanding with new features planned for 2026 and is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). The successful candidate will participate in architecture and design discussions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to AVT calls, and enhance the System Integration Testing (SIT) automation framework., Test Automation & Framework Development

• Extend and enhance automation frameworks using Java/JavaScript
• Develop automated test cases using existing automation frameworks
• Expand and maintain the SIT automation framework
• Develop automated functional test scripts using Java, Karate, and JMeter

Test Strategy & Execution

• Understand business requirements and develop test strategies and test plans
• Perform functional, integration, manual, and exploratory testing
• Develop and maintain test scripts, test cases, and test data
• Execute end-to-end system integration testing across software platforms and third-party integrations

API & Integration Testing

• Plan, design, develop, and maintain API test automation frameworks
• Test RESTful web services and APIs
• Analyze automation execution results and improve framework reliability

CI/CD & DevOps

• Develop automation for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
• Support automation across systems, infrastructure, and testing frameworks
• Participate in TDD, code reviews, and CI/CD best practices
• Work with Jenkins, Git, and other DevOps tools

Leadership & Collaboration

• Participate in AVT calls and technical design discussions
• Coordinate with Product Owners to resolve issues, enhancements, and upgrades
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to onshore and offshore QA teams
• Promote testing best practices, methodologies, and standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
• 9+ years of overall experience (10+ years preferred)
• At least 9 years of experience designing and developing test automation frameworks, Required Technical SkillsProgramming & Automation

• JBehave or other BDD frameworks
