Job description
- Design, install, configure, and support DB2 replication solutions across DB2 z/OS and distributed environments.
- Implement and maintain IBM CDC (IIDR) and Q Replication for real-time and near-real-time data synchronization.
- Configure and manage replication components including Capture, Apply, and Control processes.
- Troubleshoot replication failures, data inconsistencies, latency issues, queue backlogs, and connectivity problems.
- Perform performance tuning to optimize replication throughput, reduce latency, and minimize source system impact.
- Support integration with DB2 LUW, MQ, ETL platforms, and distributed databases.
- Provide L2/L3 production support, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery testing.
Requirements
- DB2 for z/OS
- IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (IIDR) / CDC
- Q Replication (preferred)
- ZDIH
- UNIX administration and scripting
- RACF
- JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF
- Replication architecture, CDC concepts, and performance tuning
- Experience with MIPS optimization/reduction initiatives
Preferred Skills
