Job description

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their .Net Azure Data Engineer position! This is a 12 month contract with expected extension and/or conversion to FTE and will be hybrid in Wilmington, DE. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • This position will be mostly heads down execution taking fairly well defined tasks and building them - more of a pure hands on staff augmentation software engineering role.
  • Support the migration and redesign of wealth management applications from internal data centers to Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and modern architecture patterns
  • Build and maintain data processing pipelines and ETL frameworks to integrate multiple vendor systems, combining data from various sources to create a unified platform experience
  • Develop hands-on solutions using C# and .NET Core to modernize legacy applications, upgrading existing .NET Framework 4.x code to current .NET Core standards
  • Design and implement Azure Data Factory (ADF) workflows to orchestrate complex data jobs and automate data movement across the trading and portfolio management ecosystem
  • Create and optimize SQL and NoSQL database structures to support high-performance data processing for trading positions, portfolio analytics, and client reporting
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and trading teams to understand requirements and deliver internal-facing web capabilities and enhanced reporting features
  • Support the development of interfaces used by traders for daily operations, including trade settlement, reconciliation, and position management functionality
  • Participate in technical evaluations and provide analytical consulting on new technology implementations to enhance the wealth management platform

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of systems analysis and application development experience with a strong focus on data processing and ETL development
  • Deep expertise in C# and .NET Core development, with proven ability to modernize legacy .NET Framework applications
  • Solid experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building and orchestrating data pipelines and workflows
  • Strong proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL database structures, with hands-on experience in data modeling and ETL architecture
  • Demonstrated experience with Azure application architecture and cloud-based solution design
  • Proven ability to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously, managing competing priorities and tight delivery timelines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to understand complex system interrelationships and downstream impacts
  • Excellent communication skills with experience coordinating between technical teams and business stakeholders
