Job description

TCS is searching for a Sr. Network Engineer to support the United States Army’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense [IAMD] Battle Command System (IBCS). This system is used to protect the US and our allies from air and missile threats. This program is used to integrate numerous air and missile defense systems (THAAD, PATRIOT, PAC-3, IFPC) with various radars and sensors to effectively manage and operate these defensive weapon systems through a seamless battlefield management system.

These positions require US citizenship, an existing DoD clearance (Secret or higher), and on-site work at a facility in Huntsville, Alabama (telework is not available)., * Support network infrastructure systems and Red Hat Linux (RHEL)-compute platforms

  • Support and maintain high availability networks and server clusters
  • Responsible for network infrastructure analysis, optimization, and capacity planning
  • Accountable for system administration, identity and authentication, information system security accreditation, data storage and backup, physical infrastructure maintenance, and automation development
  • Technical writing/creation of formal documentation such as architecture diagrams, technical designs, and SOPs

Requirements

  • 9+ Years with bachelor’s degree or; 7 Years with master’s degree or; 4 Years with PhD.
  • Must have a DoD 8140 certification (ex: Security + CE)
  • U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance
  • Previous support of govt contracts
  • Active Cisco certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc.

Desired:

  • Experience with Cisco Networks with a focus on Network configuration
  • Experience with RHEL, Red Hat Satellite servers and configuration
  • Experience with VMWare ESXi, VMWare vCenter
  • Experience with LAN and WAN management
  • Palo Alto firewall experience
  • Experience with Splunk, Elk, or similar
  • Familiarity with Network Technologies and Cybersecurity
  • Strong systems administrator experience, specifically in Linux Operating System environments
  • Experience with scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
  • Experience with network administration and related infrastructure
  • Experience with hardware installation and maintenance to include firmware upgrades
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
