Job description

SIXGEN supports missions by serving government and commercial organizations as they overcome global cybersecurity challenges. In this position, you’ll provide meaningful support to our customer’s missions and operations. You’ll work alongside a team of highly skilled operators who are dedicated to using innovative processes, tools, and techniques to get things done., * Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and systems in support of government and customer missions. Collaborate with systems engineers, analysts, and end users to understand technical requirements and translate them into software solutions.

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern programming languages and development practices.
  • Support integration, debugging, and testing activities in both lab and operational environments.
  • Ensure software meets security, performance, and reliability standards, in compliance with government policies and frameworks.

Requirements

  • with the ability to obtain a US Government Security clearance up to the Secret or TS level
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or C.
  • Experience developing software in Linux-based environments. Familiarity with secure coding practices and software lifecycle principles.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience supporting DoD, IC, or federal government software development projects.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps, containerization, or distributed systems. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Git, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. The final salary offer will be determined after a thorough review of the candidate’s background and alignment with the role.
