Job description

The Senior Desktop Technician delivers advanced technical support and proactive maintenance for desktop systems, software, and peripherals. This role diagnoses and resolves complex issues, executes installations and upgrades, and optimizes the overall performance and security of the desktop environment., · Technical Support: Provide expert troubleshooting and assistance for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.

· Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade desktop systems and software as required.

· Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure system stability, security, and reliability.

· Documentation: Maintain precise records of incidents, resolutions, and system changes.

· Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service by addressing user concerns and delivering timely solutions.

· Training: Help train users on new systems and software to maximize adoption and productivity.

· Collaboration: Partner with IT colleagues to resolve complex issues and improve system performance.

Requirements

· Education: An Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

· Experience: At least 5 years of desktop support experience, including a minimum of 3 years in executive or VIP support.

· Skills: Proficiency with Windows and macOS; foundational knowledge of network and server administration; solid understanding of common computer hardware and peripherals.

· Soft Skills:

o Communication: Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

o Customer Service: Customer-centric mindset with a focus on understanding and meeting user needs.

o Problem-Solving: Proactive and thorough problem-solving abilities.
