Appian Developer (All Levels)

Our client is hiring Appian developers for a federal government program. The work centers on building, deploying, and maintaining an Appian application running on Appian on Kubernetes (AoK) within Amazon Web Services (AWS).

We are hiring at four levels and are reviewing candidates from junior through SME. Apply once and we will match you to the right level.

What you will do

Build, deploy, and maintain Appian applications and the infrastructure they run on.

Architect and develop new platform features that enable development and data teams to deliver functional and complete software.

Develop automated solutions for deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and reporting on the cloud environment.

Investigate issues with infrastructure availability, performance, and function, and develop solutions to improve the system.

Manage and monitor databases, storage, and network infrastructure to ensure they remain performant and available.

Support DevSecOps processes, including pipelines for automated deployment and management of software artifacts.

Communicate issues and incidents, and manage requests for information, with customers and other stakeholders., * This role supports a federal government program and requires U.S. citizenship. Are you a U.S. citizen?

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

Ability to pass or obtain a T2 background investigation.

Security+ certification, or the ability to earn it (see the note below, we can help).

Hands-on Appian development. We are looking for people who build, not people who oversee.

By level

SME: 12 or more years of experience. 165,000 to 200,000.

Senior: 7 or more years, including 5 or more years managing, developing, and deploying Appian infrastructure and 3 or more years in cloud environment infrastructure. 145,000 to 175,000.

Mid: 4 or more years, with 3 to 6 years on an Appian software development team. 130,000 to 155,000., Experience deploying Appian applications.

Appian on Kubernetes (AoK) and AWS.

Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or Ansible.

Scripting in Bash and Python.

Database and system integration.

Process modeling, UI design, data modeling, and systems engineering.

Experience working in an Agile environment.

Active Secret clearance., * How many years of hands-on Appian development experience do you have? We are looking for people who build in Appian, not manage others who do.
