Job description

Brooksource is partnering with a Fortune 50 healthcare organization to hire a Machine Learning Engineer II supporting its enterprise Predictive Modeling Organization within the Enterprise AI Platform Team. This team is responsible for building reusable machine learning frameworks, foundation models, and engineering tooling that enable predictive AI solutions across the business. Unlike many ML Engineering roles focused on a single product or use case, this team develops the underlying AI platform that dozens of data science teams rely on to rapidly build clinical and healthcare machine learning applications. If you enjoy building scalable software, solving complex engineering challenges, and working at the intersection of software engineering and modern AI, this is an opportunity to make an impact across an entire enterprise. The position offers comprehensive benefits and the opportunity to make a significant impact across an enterprise healthcare organization. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design and develop scalable machine learning frameworks and reusable platform capabilities that support enterprise AI initiatives.
  • Build production-quality Python applications and tooling to enable deep learning model development and deployment.
  • Improve the scalability, flexibility, and performance of the organization’s machine learning platform.
  • Collaborate with machine learning researchers, data scientists, and software engineers to productionize emerging AI capabilities.
  • Support model monitoring, platform reliability, and continuous improvement of production machine learning systems.
  • Expand the platform to support new healthcare data sources, foundation models, and predictive modeling use cases.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Software Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong Python development skills with experience writing clean, maintainable, production-quality code.
  • Experience building scalable software systems and applying modern software engineering best practices.
  • Familiarity with deep learning concepts and contemporary machine learning workflows.
  • Experience with technologies such as PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning, Apache Spark, MLOps, or transformer-based architectures (preferred).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, research-oriented environment.

Benefits & conditions

  • 401(k) Matching Plan
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Plans
  • Relationship-Driven Process to Find Your Best Fit
  • 6 Paid Holidays
  • Regular Meetings to Ensure Quality Throughout Your Engagement
