Job description

One of Insight Global’s client is seeking a System Administrator II to support day-to-day operations of enterprise IT infrastructure in a secure, mission-focused environment. This role is responsible for monitoring system health, managing virtual and physical servers, administering Active Directory, supporting storage and networking infrastructure, and responding to system incidents and user escalations. The System Administrator II will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot performance and availability issues, manage backup and recovery operations, support security and compliance initiatives, and document infrastructure changes. This individual will work closely with engineering teams and customers to ensure critical systems remain reliable, secure, and operational while contributing to infrastructure upgrades, modernization efforts, and process automation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • IAT Level II Security Certification (e.g., Security + CE, CISSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCN)
  • 3-5 years of experience administering enterprise Windows server environments
  • Experience managing VMware infrastructure, including ESXi, vCenter, clustering, and Horizon/VDI technologies
  • Strong Active Directory experience, including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, LDAP, permissions, and access management
  • Understanding of NIST 800-series controls, RMF compliance requirements, and vulnerability management practices
  • Experience supporting Cisco networking devices and LAN/SAN environments
