Job description

The Manager of Data Solutions is an integral part of Latham’s Technology and Information Services team. This role will be responsible for leading the data engineering team and driving the organization’s data strategy initiatives, while developing and implementing comprehensive data management strategies that align with organizational goals, with a focus on utilizing Microsoft Fabric for data integration. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence., * Leading and mentoring a team of data architects and engineers, and integration programmers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

  • Overseeing the maintenance and enhancement of business intelligence systems and processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Working with the Associate Director of Data Integration & Business Intelligence to prioritize resources and projects, ensuring efficient use of Microsoft Fabric
  • Collaborating with Technology and business stakeholders to identify data needs and deliver solutions that drive business value
  • Managing data-related projects, including timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables, with a focus on strategic outcomes
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Requirements

  • Demonstrate proven experience in data management, business intelligence, or a related field, with a track record of managerial responsibilities
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of data structures, database systems, data warehousing, and data modeling, with experience in Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, etc.
  • Possess experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)

And have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory role with a focus on data management and business intelligence
  • Experience with SQL and modern development practices, including building and optimizing scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models that support analytics, reporting, and metric automation, preferably
