  • The successful candidate will design, develop, deploy, and sustain scalable, cloud-native web applications that leverage Kubernetes to orchestrate containerized services supporting advanced analytics and data-intensive workloads
  • This position offers the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle while collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver secure, high-performance solutions utilizing modern cloud, containerization, and microservices technologies, * Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications supporting enterprise analytics platforms
  • Architect and implement cloud-native applications utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices-based architectures
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Python or Java
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, transform, and deliver data supporting enterprise applications
  • Develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations using modern front-end frameworks such as React, Solid, or jQuery
  • Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end test plans to ensure software quality, reliability, and maintainability
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated software builds, testing, deployment, and release management
  • Monitor production applications, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement enhancements to improve system reliability and scalability
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and mission stakeholders to develop innovative technical solutions
  • Communicate technical concepts, system designs, and implementation approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Participate in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, code reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives
  • Develop and maintain software documentation, design artifacts, interface specifications, and operational procedures

Requirements

  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • Minimum of fourteen (14) years of Software Engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • Four (4) additional years of directly related Software Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement
  • Proficiency developing enterprise applications using Python or Java
  • Experience with web application development frameworks such as Flask, Django, or Spring Boot
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Experience developing data pipelines and supporting enterprise data processing workflows
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including Deployments, Pods, Services, Namespaces, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and resource management
  • Experience developing or supporting Kubernetes Operators and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs)
  • Experience with Kubernetes monitoring, logging, and observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack
  • Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience developing interactive web applications using React, Solid, jQuery, or similar JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience with Apache Spark or other distributed data processing frameworks
  • Experience supporting cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevSecOps practices
  • Experience supporting enterprise analytics, distributed systems, or cloud-native application architectures

Benefits & conditions

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
