Job description

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Usual working space is a well-ventilated area. Requires standing, walking, turning, bending, stooping, and lifting. Clear speech to communicate effectively with customers (e.g. patients, families, and other team members). Fine and gross motor skills. Environment may be stressful at times, therefore ability to work under stressful conditions is necessary. Lifting up to 50 lbs may be required, anything over 50 lbs should be a team lift or with the use of a lifting aid.

  • Develop working proficiency in EHR report-building tools sufficient to build, modify, and troubleshoot reports independently
  • Work with department leaders to build and maintain recurring operational, clinical, & financial reports
  • Extend reporting into business intelligence solutions where applicable

Gap Analysis & AI Solutions Development

  • Meet with department leaders to surface manual, repetitive, or error-prone processes & evaluate each gap to recommend appropriate fixes in coordination with IT leadership
  • Prototype internal solutions using platforms available in the organization
  • Document recommendations in clear language suitable for leadership review

AI Tool Enablement

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for AI tools in use at Ohio County Healthcare
  • Support evaluation and piloting of AI-assisted tools
  • Help document use cases and needs to new solutions for review through IT processes

General

  • Assist with general IT work through the help desk and act as escalation point as needed by department
  • Be willing to help as needed within department on various projects and tasks
  • Work collaboratively with IT & Informatics leadership, and participate in all training and meeting requirements
  • Responsible for any other duties and/or responsibilities as required by IT Director

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required for all positions (may be allowed to sign a GED agreement to obtain within 6 months).
