Job description
We are seeking a seasoned Infrastructure Functional Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of enterprise IT infrastructure services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how enterprise IT infrastructure operates across Windows, Unix/Linux, databases, and supporting technologies. This individual will provide technical and functional direction to infrastructure teams, oversee the quality and timely delivery of work, proactively manage operational issues and risks, and ensure services are delivered in alignment with business objectives and ITIL best practices.
Key Leadership Responsibilities
Provide functional leadership and strategic direction to Infrastructure Operations teams across multiple technology domains.
Oversee the planning, execution, and quality of infrastructure deliverables, ensuring they meet business expectations and operational standards.
Monitor delivery progress, identify risks and issues, drive timely resolution, and remove roadblocks for the team.
Ensure consistent execution of infrastructure services, including patch management, vulnerability remediation, system maintenance, and change implementation.
Review deliverables for quality, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards and service level agreements.
Partner with Infrastructure Engineering, Security, Application, Database, and Business teams to coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
Drive operational excellence through governance, process improvements, KPI tracking, and adherence to ITIL Service Management practices.
Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
12+ years of overall IT Infrastructure experience with 8+ years in a leadership or delivery management role.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including Windows, Unix/Linux, networking fundamentals, databases, patch management, vulnerability management, ITIL, and Change Management.
Proven experience leading infrastructure delivery teams, providing technical direction, managing quality, resolving delivery issues, and ensuring successful execution in large enterprise environments
Benefits & conditions
$50 - $55 an hour - Contract
