Job description

Insight Global is seeking a part-time ColdFusion Developer to support several business-critical applications for UC San Diego. This individual will be responsible for validating application functionality following ColdFusion updates and patches, troubleshooting production issues, reviewing logs, and supporting ongoing maintenance efforts. The role will focus on a small portfolio of existing applications, including course entry, shopping cart/payment, and student management systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys application support, troubleshooting, and working within a legacy ColdFusion environment.

Support and maintain several existing ColdFusion-based applications Validate application functionality after ColdFusion upgrades, patches, and security updates Perform application testing and regression testing following platform updates Investigate and resolve production issues, bugs, and user-reported problems Analyze application and server logs to identify root causes and recommend fixes Support course management, shopping cart/payment, and student-related applications Coordinate with technical teams performing platform upgrades and patching activities Provide ongoing maintenance and operational support to ensure application stability

Requirements

Experience developing or supporting Adobe ColdFusion applications Ability to troubleshoot application issues and identify root causes through log analysis Experience validating and testing web applications following updates, patches, or releases Understanding of web application architecture and production support processes Experience working with SQL databases and troubleshooting application/database interactions Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently in a part-time support capa

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience supporting legacy enterprise applications Experience with higher education or student information systems Familiarity with payment processing or e-commerce applications Experience working with bug tracking and issue management processes
