Job description

  • Design, develop, and integrate custom software components and open-source solutions utilizing AWS, Go, and Linux environments.
  • Architect and implement foundational software structures and systems.
  • Administer and maintain cloud-based virtual infrastructure, leveraging Kubernetes and Ansible for orchestration and automation.
  • Engage with Big Data systems, manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and apply agile methodologies.
  • Utilize a diverse toolset including JIRA, Confluence, Gitlab, Puppet, Maven, and VMWare for development and operational support., * Design, develop, and deploy custom software applications in a Linux environment using Go.
  • Architect and implement robust core software systems and features.
  • Integrate open-source software components and manage their lifecycle.
  • Administer and optimize cloud-based virtual infrastructure, including container orchestration with Kubernetes and automation with Ansible.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
  • Engage in systems administration tasks for Linux environments.
  • Work with Big Data systems and cloud repositories.
  • Apply DevOps principles and Agile/Scrum methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Perform software integration testing and contribute to overall Integration and Test (I&T) efforts.
  • Utilize a range of development and management tools such as AWS, Virtual Box, Bash, Hadoop, Gitlab, Jenkins/Hudson, JIRA, Confluence, Puppet, Maven, and VMWare.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and effective communication within the team.

Requirements

  • Degree: Technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with Go
  • Years of experience: 9+ years
  • Salary: $271k+ yearly compensation
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week in Columbia, MD
