Job description

You’ll own and evolve two of eCarsTrade’s core Python microservices that turn raw vehicle data into commercial decisions:

  • MarketPrice - an ML-driven pricing engine that predicts market value for used vehicles and produces bid recommendations (dealer bid, supplier bid, potential dealer margin and turnover time) used across the auction platform.
  • DataEnrichment - detects vehicle options, sport packages and verifies listing metadata.

Both are async FastAPI services, message-driven via RabbitMQ, and containerized with Docker. You’ll work across ML pipelines, computer vision, LLM integrations, and high-throughput event processing., * Develop and maintain FastAPI services (API routers, Pydantic schemas, middleware, exception handling) and their RabbitMQ consumers (aio_pika, topic exchanges, durable queues, DLQ, circuit breakers).

  • Design durable, decoupled processing flows (e.g. ack-on-aggregation, MongoDB-backed per-car state, thread-pooled blocking work under async consumers).
  • Write tests, maintain Docker/docker-compose setups, and keep services production-reliable and observable.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and platform teams to translate business rules into robust code.

Requirements

  • Strong Python 3.10+ with production experience in async programming (asyncio) and FastAPI (or similar).
  • Solid experience with message queues, ideally RabbitMQ (aio_pika), and event-driven architectures.
  • Comfortable with Docker and microservice deployment patterns.
  • Working knowledge of relational (MySQL) and/or document stores (MongoDB).
  • Clean code, testing discipline, and Git-based collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for writing clean, efficient code.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience with CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate team members, drive technical initiatives, and lead by example.
  • Proficiency in both English and Russian is mandatory.
