Job description

The Enterprise Engineer provides services in support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). You will support NETCOM with the implementation and standardization of Identity and Access Management (IdAM) on the NIPRNET and SIPRNET in the DoDIN-A in support of IdAM and the GEF initiative. Responsibilities and skills

  • Identify and provide recommendations for enterprise hardware and software requirements for the IdAM portion of the network for Government review.
  • Provide security engineering and analysis supporting the implementation of IdAM across the DoDIN-A.
  • Conduct and document security risk threat assessments, prepare recommendations for implementing countermeasures.
  • Provide security-related technical expertise for Government evaluations of the hardware and software components. Provide processes and procedures, input determination and analysis to the security policies, risk analysis, accreditation package analysis, and engineering change proposal analysis.
  • Provide security expertise to support development of operational CM baselines for IdAM tools and systems.
  • Support the development of procedures, such as an implementation guide, to ensure technical solutions and schedules are identified within established suspense dates.
  • Support implementation and standardization of IdAM on the NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Deployed Forces (DF) in the DoDIN-A in support of the Enterprise initiative.
  • Support the Enterprise AD architecture design and migration fielding. Perform NIPRNET/SIPRNET/DF IdAM migration support to an AD and EDS environment. IdAM System Support AD infrastructure design and migration.
  • Identify and make recommendations for enterprise hardware and software requirements for the IdAM portion of the network.
  • Verify and validate the Army Directory Services architecture IAW industry best business practices.
  • Review and recommend alignment of project requirements with related IdAM applications and enterprise designs and plans. Provide engineering integration support to mitigate unforeseen technical issues during CCRM.
  • Develop standardized Group Policy Objective (GPO) and IPSec model, design and management in support of IdAM implementation across the Army, and develop programmatic scripts as necessary. Identify and confirm that derived enterprise solutions are consistent, are without redundancy, and do not negatively impact operations.
  • Conduct IdAM and enterprise testing for related operational RFC submitted to NETCOM. Provide and document design integration of proposed technologies for the Army Enterprise design construct.
  • Provide IdAM sustainment engineering and analysis support.
  • Provide input for project RFC submissions for CMB review. All RFC submissions shall include the analysis of user and organization impact resulting from recommended changes and the overall effect on the enterprise environment.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • DoD 8570.1-M Certification: IAT Level III Certification
  • Computing Environment Certification, CCNA, VCTA or equivalent or higher-level network certification
  • Experience with IdAM procedures, policies, technologies and services
  • Working knowledge and experience in the following:

  • Identity Management technology
  • Microsoft Active Directory (AD)
  • Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM)
  • HyperV
  • VMware
  • Meta-database
  • Microsoft PowerShell scripts
  • Microsoft Visual Basic
