UNCOMN is seeking a System Administrator (Mid-Level) to:
- Design, engineer, and evaluate IT software/hardware or network architectures and networking technologies.
- Train and support clients and their systems.
- Administer, develop, run tests on, implement, and maintain operating system and related software.
- Establish and implement standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, operating system, and networking problems.
- Schedule, perform, and monitor system backups and, when necessary, perform data recoveries.
- Configure hardware, such as workstations, printers, servers, and tape devices.
- Provide technical support for system users.
- Epitomize UNCOMN Core Values.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience in a professional environment with exposure to AWS.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government as needed, which requires US citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual’s eligibility.
- Must hold an active an IAT Level II certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).
- Must hold a Computing Environment (CE) certification or certificate related to one of the following areas:
- Cloud or virtualization (Azure, AWS, Oracle, IBM, etc.)
- Software development (Java, .NET, C++, Python, Visual Basic, etc.)
- Network support/defense (Splunk, Cisco, McAfee, etc.)
- Operating System (Microsoft, Linux, Solaris, etc.)
- Application (database, backup, automation, web server, network, proxy, firewall, etc.)
Preferred
- Active Secret clearance, granted by the US Government.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university.
- Jenkins and/or Oracle exposure.
