Job description

The Software Developer/Security Analyst is a software engineer or a software programmer/developer who is involved in the development of World Wide Web applications using technical programming languages like HTML, PHP, and JavaScript. The web programmer/developer will be responsible for supporting the existing infrastructure as well as developing new technologies. This individual is also an expert in computer technology and training development who will also be involved in the installation of all system updates, upgrades, building blocks, and other software integrated with our CMS and LMS. Collaborations with others to establish system defaults, policies and procedures, and strategic plans for CMS and LMS use and expansion will be necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university by hire date 2 years of relevant IT experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with HTTP, TLS/SSL, LDAP, DNS, TCP/IP, and associated protocols Experience with PGP/GPG, SSH, and TLS encryption standards Experience in secure software development processes Experience designing and coding secure web applications following industry best practices for maintaining the security and integrity of the application Experience with integrating third-party APIs Experience with Accessibility Compliance, including but not limited to WCAG and Section 508 Knowledge of web and database development technologies Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments Knowledge of Python, JAVA, PHP, MYSQL, PL/SQL Knowledge of a version control system such as Git Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS Knowledge of PHP, JSP, XML, and XSL/XSLT, Ability to capture client ideas and vision on a web page or in an application Ability to meet deadlines Ability to work in a team, as well as independently Good communications skills Thorough understanding of good relational database design
