Job description

TSC in Trumbull CT, is seeking a to support airborne surveillance radar programs for customers, including the US Army and its prime contractors. TSC has several ongoing development and sustainment programs that are leveraging Modeling and Simulation (M&S) to reduce the expense of flight-testing programs. This position will focus on integrating the various pieces of the M&S framework together, including modes, a target tracker, a platform model, an antenna model, and more. Prior experience in Ground Moving Target Indication (GMTI), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and maritime surface surveillance is highly desirable, as interpretation of the results from the M&S framework is a key part of our role. Some business travel may be required.

  • Work with senior engineers to integrate and test various pieces of M&S framework
  • Develop near-real-time code such that models can deliver answers in a rapid fashion
  • Critically interpret results and recommend software/algorithm fixes to the senior engineering team
  • Recommend laboratory and flight testing to assess performance
  • Review and analyze collected test results
  • Brief technical accomplishments to mixed audiences of technical and managerial staff

Requirements

  • B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years of related radar work experience
  • 5+ years in modeling and simulation development and execution
  • Knowledge of various software development environments, including Windows and Linux-based systems
  • Proficiency in several programming languages and methods, such as MATLAB, Python, C, C++, CUDA, and VHDL
  • High-level understanding of model-based engineering, radar system design, real-time radar signal processing, and potential radar hardware and software issues
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security (Top Secret preferred) clearance. *, U.S. Citizenship required

Benefits & conditions

In compliance with applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position is $105,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus and may include equity or incentive compensation as part of the total rewards package.
