Job description

  • Support cybersecurity response, containment, remediation, and recovery activities
  • Monitor and secure Linux and Windows server environments
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation and systems hardening initiatives
  • Investigate security incidents, alerts, and suspicious activity
  • Support implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls and best practices
  • Conduct systems analysis and troubleshooting for security-related issues
  • Assist with monitoring infrastructure and identifying potential risks or vulnerabilities
  • Maintain documentation related to incidents, remediation efforts, and operational procedures
  • Coordinate with IT and leadership teams regarding cybersecurity issues and escalations
  • Participate in after-hours and emergency response support as needed

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, a minimum of 3 years of hands-on Linux experience, cybersecurity experience, and the ability to respond effectively in fast-paced operational environments. The candidate should be experienced in Linux systems administration, security monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues while supporting cybersecurity operations., * Minimum 8 years of experience in Cyber Security, Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, or related field

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience/certifications)
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Experience in cybersecurity incident response and remediation
  • Strong understanding of systems security principles and best practices
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Telecommunications industry experience preferred
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Security monitoring and alerting systems experience
  • Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, GIAC, CISM, CySA+, Microsoft/Linux security certifications

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to work onsite
  • Availability for urgent response situations and extended hours when needed
