Job description

Bank of America is seeking a hands-on Java Market Data Developer (12+ YEARS) to support its Market Data Engineering and Development team, focused on building and enhancing real-time data platforms and integrations with leading market data vendors such as Bloomberg and LSEG/Refinitiv. Candidates must have strong experience with market data systems and vendor APIs (Bloomberg, LSEG/Refinitiv) as well as Hands-on experience with real-time streaming and messaging technologies (Kafka, Solace, Tibco, etc.) Solid understanding of market data concepts (pricing, reference data, symbology, entitlements) *** Experience required on a resume and for submittal:

Requirements

10+ years of Java development experience in financial services Strong experience with market data systems and vendor APIs (Bloomberg, LSEG/Refinitiv) Hands-on experience with real-time streaming and messaging technologies (Kafka, Solace, Tibco, etc.) Solid understanding of market data concepts (pricing, reference data, symbology, entitlements) Experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems Strong debugging and production support capabilities Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Knowledge of FIX protocol or trading systems Exposure to Python for scripting or data analysis Familiarity with Linux environments and distributed systems
