We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Patient Support Specialist Team Lead to guide and inspire a dynamic team of patient support professionals. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional client service, and maintain efficient communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. - Manage daily call center operations, including call handling, escalation procedures, and workflow optimization.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members to enhance their technical skills and customer service capabilities.
- Oversee phone call management to ensure clear communication, professional phone etiquette, and efficient resolution of patient inquiries.
- Monitor team adherence to company policies, healthcare regulations, and data security protocols related to electronic health records (EHR) management.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance representatives to resolve billing issues, appointment scheduling, and medical record requests.
- Maintain accurate documentation through data entry into EMR/EHR systems while ensuring compliance with health information privacy standards.
- Analyze team performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to boost productivity and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in client services within healthcare or medical office environments with a strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Prior call center experience with demonstrated phone communication skills and phone etiquette mastery.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to support diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare data entry processes.
- Knowledge of health insurance processes, billing procedures, and healthcare support services.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent analysis skills for evaluating performance data and implementing process improvements.
- Technical proficiency in computer skills necessary for troubleshooting basic system issues and maintaining accurate records.
