Application and Systems Engineer

Provide technical support to customers and internal sales/customer service teams., * Provide continuous technical support to customers by telephone or email.

• Support RF (Radio Frequency) special designs and quotes.
• Document RF designs with block diagrams, rack drawings, and estimated specifications.
• Generate equipment lists with pricing.
• Provide technical evaluation results to customers on warranty or billable repair items when requested by customer service and validate product return requests by providing troubleshooting assistance to customer(s) to determine why the product is inoperable.
• Help coordinate information between customers, manufacturing, and services departments.
• Provide support to marketing with the development of product datasheets and manuals.
• Maintain an ongoing familiarity of dbSpectra products/services and improve job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging RF engineering technologies.
• Enhance systems engineering tools and processes.
• Travel (10%) to assist at road shows and customer locations when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Excellent customer service skills: able to effectively communicate with people at all levels.
• Ability to work with internal departments to contribute systems engineering and technical support knowledge and analysis.
• Be knowledgeable of RF site equipment products, including theory of operation and application.
• Capable of developing and communicating troubleshooting processes, technical reports and other material both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient with operation of personal computers using programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and others.
• Ability to use RF software simulation tools (Genesis, Ansys HFSS) to generate system designs.

Education/Experience

• Degree: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering
• Experience: Five years or more of applicable work experience.

This position is a full- time in-office position (no remote work).
