Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country., Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who will be doing back-end development and DevOps engineering.

Requirements

Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen, * Seven (7) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree., * Design, develop and maintain microservices using Spring Boot and Java
Build and manage RESTful APIs and backend services deployed on AWS (e.g., ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3)
Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
Collaborate with DevOps, frontend, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK
Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
