Qlik Sense Application Engineer - Hybrid

As a Qlik Sense Application Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, administering, and optimizing enterprise data visualization and analytics solutions while supporting large-scale data engineering initiatives. You will work with extensive transactional datasets to design dashboards, manage Qlik Sense environments, and build scalable data solutions that enable business insights and operational decision-making. This role requires strong expertise in business intelligence platforms, data modeling, analytics, and application administration, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams., * Develop and support data engineering frameworks and solutions that enhance analytics and reporting capabilities.

• Design, develop, and maintain internal and external dashboards using Qlik Sense.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements for reporting and visualization solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve dashboard, application, task, and user access issues.
• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Qlik Sense environments and clusters.
• Expand and manage Qlik Sense clusters to support scalability and high availability requirements.
• Configure application settings, integrations, and platform components.
• Add, remove, and maintain data sources utilized by reporting and analytics solutions.
• Manage dashboard deployment processes across development, testing, and production environments.
• Create, modify, and maintain Qlik Sense security rules and access controls.
• Perform periodic evaluations of platform performance, capacity, and health.
• Design, develop, and implement Data Marts to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, consistency, and governance across reporting solutions.
• Create technical documentation, flowcharts, architectural diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to data engineering and BI development teams.
• Analyze and interpret conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Apply data modeling principles including entities, relationships, attributes, constraints, and data types.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to analytics, reporting, and data platform optimization.

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience working with Qlik Sense or comparable Business Intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or WebFOCUS.
• Strong experience developing enterprise dashboards, reports, and data visualization solutions.
• Experience administering Qlik Sense environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of data engineering concepts, data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics workflows.
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles, database structures, and relational concepts.
• Experience working with large-scale transactional or enterprise data environments.
• Strong understanding of high-performance data architectures including file-based storage, key-value stores, and wide-column databases.
• Experience with Data Mart design, development, and implementation.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, and integrity best practices.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and reporting issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience creating technical documentation, process flows, and architecture diagrams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting security administration and user access management within BI platforms.
• Experience with Hadoop, Kafka, or related big data technologies preferred.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments preferred.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics and reporting platforms preferred.
• Experience mentoring or guiding data engineering and business intelligence teams preferred.
