Design Engineer

Astura’s Design Engineer will serve as a design resource during the development process. The primary goal of the Design Engineer is to use established requirements to design devices using CAD software., * CAD Modeling: Responsible for modeling of complex parts using Solidworks CAD software including; design tables, surfacing, and complex assemblies.

• Manufacturing Drawings: Responsible for creating manufacturing drawings per ASME Y14.5.
• Tolerance Analysis (GD&T): Responsible for performing tolerance analysis on all interfacing devices.
• Design for Manufacturability: Responsible for working with manufacturing personnel to ensure parts can be efficiently manufactured.

• Experience with Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word, Outlook
• Hands-on mechanical ability and machine experience

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-3 years in product design
• Formal CAD and GD&T training preferred
• Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
