Job description

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Pump Technical Specialist to join our Process Equipment team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and developing sales of our range of pumping equipment across Scotland, serving customers within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, and Food & Beverage sectors.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers to understand technical requirements, recommend suitable pumping solutions, and liaise with leading pump manufacturers to ensure customer specifications are met., * Review and interpret customer pump specifications and technical requirements.

  • Identify and select suitable pump manufacturers and equipment solutions to meet client needs.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers throughout Scotland.
  • Provide technical support and product expertise to customers and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively within the Process Equipment team to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

Essential

  • Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and/or practical experience.
  • Experience interpreting technical pump specifications and selecting appropriate pumping solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.

Desirable

  • Previous sales or business development experience.
  • A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of the industrial customer base across Scotland.
  • Experience within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, or Food & Beverage sectors.
