Job description

The Telecom Project Manager leads data center telecommunications projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role oversees structured cabling, fiber optics, and low-voltage systems while coordinating subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to deliver high-quality, mission-critical infrastructure., * Lead telecommunications and data center projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

  • Manage subcontractors and project teams, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and scheduling standards.
  • Develop and track project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee installation quality, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and testing standards.
  • Coordinate project planning, procurement, and material flow to support efficient execution.
  • Identify and resolve project risks, technical issues, and scope gaps.
  • Support bid processes, subcontractor selection, and project documentation including reports and change orders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Promote and support a strong safety culture across all project activities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in telecommunications or commercial construction project management, preferably in data center or mission-critical environments.
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, and telecommunications systems.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors, budgets, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Must meet company driving requirements
