Job description

  • Working as a key member of a scrum team actively participating in daily scrum meetings and working to develop, integrate, and deploy high quality reusable, testable, and efficient code including Microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs. As well as execute high quality reusable test cases for Microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs
  • Developing microservices that include RESTful services using Spring Framework (IoC, MVC, Transactions, Security, and Batch)
  • Writing Unit Test frameworks (JUnit, Mocking frameworks), code coverage, and code review and integrating work with GitLab
  • Perform tasks required for manual and automated test implementation including review acceptance criteria (Cucumber/Gherkin scripts), create integration/regression test scenarios, test cases, implement test data management strategy, and generate required reports in JIRA
  • Contributing within a SAFe environment including the Daily scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives, Backlog grooming, Sprint/System Demos, PI Planning, and Inspect & Adapt events Working within a SAFe environment that includes consistent leadership support, continued learning education, refining user stories, providing internal and customer demonstrations of developed code

Requirements

Full Stacked Software Developers are an integral part of the team here at GDIT. This is an exciting opportunity creating a new cloud-based application while being a part of a DevSecOps integration. Your ability to develop in JAVA and create REST APIs as well as ability to test RESTful services and APIs are just the skills, we need to deliver this solution to our customer. Communication is important within our organization; we use the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to empower our development team., * 5+ of related experience in software development, testing REST, JSON, and backend APIs (SOAP UI, PostMan, or ReadyAPI).

  • Experience with JAVA and developing/maintaining backend APIs.
  • Knowledge of REST API, JSON.
  • Ability to write and execute automation scripts by using SOAP UI.
  • Experience using API test cases in SOAP UI, PostMan, or ReadyAPI.
  • Experience with common web development frameworks (Angular, Docker, React, Spring, Node.js, jQuery, Microservice Design, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
  • U.S. Citizen with existing or the ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation. Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Java 17 experience preferred
  • Experience with Daffodil software parser and Maven
  • Experience with GitLab DevOps/CI/CD platform
  • Experience with an IDE such as eclipse.
  • Knowledge of with common web development frameworks (Angular, YAML, HTML, Docker, React, Spring, Node.js, jQuery, Microservice Design, etc.).
  • Experience working in a Database and running mySQL queries.
  • Experience creating reports in ReadyAPI., Years of Experience 6 + years of related experience

Salary and Benefit Information The likely salary range for this position is $123,250 - $166,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
