SAP BASIS ADMINISTRATION

We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Administrator to install, configure, monitor, and maintain our SAP landscape. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical administration and performance of SAP systems across development, quality, and production environments-ensuring high availability, security, and optimal system performance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, HANA database administration, and system upgrades in a US enterprise environment., * Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, Fiori, PI/PO, and related components).

• Administer and tune the SAP HANA database, including backup/recovery, replication, and performance optimization.
• Perform client administration tasks such as client copies, client exports/imports, and transport management (TMS/CTS).
• Monitor system health, workloads, and performance using SAP Solution Manager and related tools; proactively resolve bottlenecks.
• Apply SAP support packages, kernel upgrades, SPS updates, and OSS/SAP Notes.
• Manage user administration, roles, authorizations, and Single Sign-On (SSO) in coordination with the security team.
• Plan and execute system refreshes, migrations, and homogeneous/heterogeneous system copies.
• Configure and maintain SAP interfaces, RFC connections, and printing (spool) administration.
• Implement and test high-availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
• Support SAP on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) where applicable.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and standard operating practices.
• Collaborate with functional teams, developers, and infrastructure teams during projects and go-lives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 8+ years of hands-on SAP BASIS administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture, SAP kernel, and transport management.
• Experience with SAP HANA database administration, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency administering SAP on at least one operating system (Linux/SUSE, Red Hat, or Windows Server).
• Experience with SAP support package and kernel upgrades.
• Solid understanding of SAP security concepts, roles, and authorizations.
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for monitoring and system management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certification in NetWeaver, HANA, or S/4HANA administration.
• Experience migrating to or operating S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience running SAP on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with scripting/automation (Shell, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible).
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and change-management practices.
• Experience with SAP BTP, Fiori, or SAP Cloud ALM.
• Prior experience supporting SAP go-lives and large-scale migration projects.
