Job description

Magnify is seeking a hands-on Java Developer to design applications built to revolutionize, bring exceptional problem-solving skills, and contribute to applications that make more than just an impact but a better quality of life! You’ll have the opportunity to engage in the full software development lifecycle. Collaborating with different departments to transform requirements into scalable, secure, and battle-ready software solutions.

Your Day-to-Day!

  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks and software designs.
  • Utilizing your expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to build and refine applications.
  • Design, secure, and support high-performing RESTful APIs and integrations.
  • Collaborate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical documentation, and engineering best-practice development.
  • Develop and execute test strategies, debugging, and maintain high standards for software quality.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents, tweak application performance, and recommend preventive solutions that improve reliability and a user-friendly experience!
  • Engage and converse with product owners, architects, DevOps, and other cross-functional stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years designing and delivering applications with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices.
  • Strong experience designing and building secure, scalable RESTful APIs and services.
  • 3+ years using React or Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Must have knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, and similar.
  • 1+ years using Git, Maven, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud-native application development.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, design patterns, application integration, testing, and performance tuning.
