Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Hana Database Engineer/ Developer with deep expertise in SAP HANA, ETL development, data pipeline optimization, and enterprise data architecture. This role requires a strong engineering mindset, the ability to troubleshoot production issues with urgency, and a passion for automation and scalable data solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making, develop high-impact analytics solutions, and ensure the reliability and quality of data across the organization., * Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using SAP HANA , SAP BODS , and Apache NiFi .

  • Perform ETL development, implement automation, and create guardrails to improve operational efficiency.
  • Build and optimize views, replicate tables, and manage data workflows across multiple systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve urgent production issues to meet business-critical needs.
  • Conduct impact analysis, data lineage assessments, and support upcoming system or data model changes.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including mappings and solution designs.
  • Develop data models and warehouse solutions aligned with enterprise architecture best practices.
  • Support data collection, reporting development, dashboards, and analytics execution.
  • Work with internal AI tools to streamline operations and optimize recurring processes.
  • Ensure data governance, data quality, and data security standards are met.
  • Collaborate with teams using ERP, PLM, MES, or related enterprise systems to integrate and support data flows.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience with SQL, Hadoop/Big Data, SAP HANA, or SAP Business Objects.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with SAP HANA database.
  • 6+ years of ETL development experience, particularly with SAP BODS and Apache NiFi.
  • 3+ years of experience with data analytics or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • 3+ years conducting data impact assessments, lineage analysis, and data mapping.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience building data warehouse solutions and supporting enterprise-scale analytics.
  • Understanding of data governance, data security, and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience integrating data from ERP, PLM, MES, or related enterprise systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing automation across data workflows.
  • Proven ability to handle high-priority production issues and drive quick resolutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data architectures is a plus.
